As a part of Adult Catechesis in the life of the Church, Women of the Word Ministry of Most Precious Blood aims to help women make a “free and informed response of faith to God’s initiative of love” in their daily lives. Through an enthusiastic preaching of the Word and a vibrant evangelization, we seek to promote mature adult faith in the women who attend our ministry. This is a ministry of teaching, prayer, and fellowship, always focused on a relationship with Christ and obedience to the teachings of His Church. We invoke the intercession of Our Mother Mary, giving her our whole hearts.
We have adopted Colossians 3:12-17 as our main Scripture verse:
"Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another...And over all these put one love, that is, the bond of perfection. And let the peace of Christ control your hearts...And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom, teach and admonish one another, sings psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
